MyPAO platform consists of CT based 3D pre-operative planning report, 3D pre-op and post-op bone modelspatient-specific realignment guides and cortical screws.

TECHNICAL DATA

PLANNING SYSTEM

Medacta Surgical Planning Report includes all the relevant preoperative anatomic data of the patient’s hip and a proposal for the postoperative position of the mobilized acetabulum, complete with a simulation of the expected postoperative data:

  • Acetabular Movements
  • 2D and 3D Coverage
  • Acetabular Anteversion
  • Range of Motion Data

POSITION THE DRILL GUIDE

and perform pre-holes through the bushes of the guide using a Ø3.2mm drill bit.

REMOVE THE DRILL GUIDE

perform the osteotomy manually, as per standard surgical technique, and mobilize the acetabulum.

PLACE THE PATIENT-SPECIFIC GUIDES

on the bone fragments and secure them using Ø5mm pins.

CONNECT THE REALIGNMENT ARC

with the acetabular guide and secure them using the dedicated key.

CLIP THE METAL CONNECTOR

on the pin positioned on the iliac crest and lock the realignment arc to stabilize the assembly.

SECURE THE TWO FRAGMENTS

Using k-wires before removal of MyPAO guides. Perform final osteotomy fixation using cortical screws, as per standard PAO surgical technique.

Standard Stainless steel cortical screws developed for PAO applications, provided sterile

  • Diameter: Ø3.5mm and Ø4.5mm • WL: from 20mm to 150mm
WORKFLOW

 

CT IMAGES

Medacta receives the CT images of the patient's hip.

MYPAO PREOPERATIVE PLANNING

Starting from the 3D reconstruction of the joint and following the surgeon preferences, the MyPAO preoperative planning is performed.

3D PRINTING IN-HOUSE MANUFACTURING (ON DEMAND)

Once the preoperative planning has been confirmed by the surgeon, patient specific guides and/or bone models are manufactured in-house.
